My daughter, Lisa, has been home for winter break and she's been hanging out around the home and studio, taking photos of everything that catches her eye. She recently sneakily took photos of me while I was painting. Even though I had a TV show on the DIY network, I'm still a bit camera shy. But I know I always like to see how other artists create, so I figured I would post these snapshots.

Danny and I just got in from Atlanta last night, and we're about to leave again on Wednesday to go to Texas for 2 days. So much traveling! That's why I have to get my painting in while I can. Once the gouache paintings are finished, they can get handed off to my assistants Heidi, Katrina, or Zoe to be scanned, cleaned up in Photoshop, and put into repeat. Then the really fun part - we get to think up different ways the patterns can be used on all kinds of products. Just writing about this is making me want to get back to painting!
