New curtains in my sunroom

Wednesday, 15 February 2012 11:54

As my craft weekend was starting a couple of weeks ago, I decided to add some brightness to my sunroom. I wanted everything to be bright and happy while my friends were here. I added a quick hot pink wide strip of fabric to my sunroom curtains, made out of one of my Sunshine Linen fabrics. The green pattern of my curtains is a print from my Kumari Garden collection. I forgot to take before pictures of the curtains before the strips were added, but I do have an even older before picture of what my sunroom looked like a little over a year ago when John Ellis came by to photograph our home for Romantic Country Magazine.

So here's the way-before picture, and then the new bright, fun, and fresh curtains that cheer up the room:

I love the pink and green combo! Maybe you noticed, a lot of other details have changed in that room since that photo was taken - a new hanging light, couch, tablecloth, pillows - I love mixing things up!

What do you think? A change for the better?

Hi Jill - I actually just painted roses on the couch myself! I took acrylic paint and mixed it with a fabric medium and just started painting!

xo,

It was very cute before. Now it looks lively and fun. I, too, love the green and pink and aqua colors together. I adore your Kumari lines (loved the Christmas one, too.)
